Description:
Watercolor on paper of Bradley Tavern in the Bantam section of Litchfield. Vertical composition consisting of one tall pine tree on the left and an older building with a chimney on the right. Bradley Tavern was often frequented by Litchfield Female Academy and Litchfield Law School students who would take carriage or sleigh rides out to the tavern to enjoy socializing and music.
