The painting was sold at a Pook and Pook, Inc. auction on November 19, 2010. The photograph of the painting was taken by Pook and Pook for their auction catalog. The painting was deaccessioned from the Smithsonian Museum of American History from the Cigna Collection of Firefighting and Maritime Objects collection. It is now in a private collection.
