Samuel [Waldron?] is identified on the cover of the small journal as "a servant" to Roger Wolcott Cooke. The journal covers Cooke's last four weeks of life and describe his deteriorating condition. [Waldron?] writes that Cooke mentioned several individuals as he became sicker, including his siblings David, James, and Maria, and the Rev. Truman Marsh.
