Biographical Notes:
Sophia Fulton Curran Watkins was the daughter of the last territorial governor of Arkansas, William Savin Fulton, and his wife Matilda Frances Nowland Fulton. Following the death of her first husband, James Moore Curran, she married his business partner, George Claibourne Watkins.
