Biographical Notes:
Sarah Elizabeth Todd was born to Captain Eli Todd and Rachel Thompson Todd in 1813. Her father kept a tavern and a store on Park Lane in New Milford. She married Virgil Dryden Bonesteel in 1840 and had two children, both of whom died young.
