Adeline Wheeler Berry was born in April of 1834 to LFA student, Hannah Avery and Giles Wheeler. She married a telegraph named Benjamin Gage Berry in 1854 and moved to Norwich, New York.

"One of the best known of our older residents passed away Monday night when Mrs. Ada W. Berry, widow of B. Gage Berry answered the final summons. She was in her 78th year. Funeral services will be held from the late home, 307 North Broad street, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Paul Allen of the Congregational church officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope.
