Description:
One of a pair of mahogany four-legged footstools, oblong shape, outward curved legs. Reeded handles. Covered with black horsehair, muslin and webbing showing through. Dowel construction. Entry in Silas Cheney's Account book is as follows: "1812 January 18 / Tapping Reeve Dr. to 2 Crickets stuft & --- readed legs hair 6.00"
