Biographical Notes:
James Nisbet was educated as a physician in Philadelphia. He emigrated from North Carolina to Georgia around 1798. He represented Green County GA in the General Assembly for several years. He relocated to Athens, GA in 1819 to provide educational opportunities for his children where he died in 1832.
