Biographical Notes:
Chauncey Whittlesey of the South Farms district of Litchfield, Connecticut was born December 12, 1781. He was the son of Roger Newton Whittlesey and Ann Woodruff Whittlesey. A farmer by trade, Chauncey married Maryann Bacon on November 13, 1815, and the couple resided in her hometown of Roxbury, Connecticut where they had five children.Chauncey passed away on February 19, 1836.
Additional Notes:
In 1817 Chauncey served as a church Deacon.
