Biographical Notes:
Chloe Hinsdale was born in Canaan, CT in 1768. Her father, Captain Barnabas Hinsdale, was appointed surveyor of Hartford County in 1764, and later served as an officer in the Second Company, First Regiment (likely referring to the 1st Massachusetts Regiment) of the Continental Army. Her mother was Magdalen Seymour.
