Biographical Notes:
On February 26, 1753 the Town of Litchfield voted to give Reverend Judah Champion the job as minister in the Congregationalist Church. He accepted and was ordained on July 4, 1753. He continued in the ministry until 1798. In 1758, Champion married Elizabeth Welch of New Milford, CT; the couple had three children.
