Biographical Notes:
Anna "Nancy" Champion was born to Elizabeth Welch Champion and Reverend Judah Champion. She married John Russell Landon of Salisbury, Connecticut in 1796. He served as High Sheriff of Litchfield County from 1801-1818. The couple had four daughters who attended the Litchfield Female Academy and one son who became a doctor. The couple eventually moved to Castleton, Vermont, where they remained until their deaths.
